Meet the Serenaders

Yesse Spence

Yesse is a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. She has appeared in roles on stage for numerous companies both In Australia and in London including MTC, STC, Malthouse and Hayloft Theatre

Her Tv credits include Love Me season 2, Utopia, Offspring, Mr and Mrs Murder,  Paper giants-Magazine Wars, Winners and losers, City Homicide, Neighbours, Satisfaction, Blue Heelers, Silver Sun, MDA, Always Greener and the UK productions Heartbeat and The Gym.

Film credits include the features, Foe, Blacklight, Red Hill and The rage in Placid Lake as well as numerous shorts. In 2011 Yesse wrote, produced and starred in the short Stella.

In 2009 she wrote produced and starred in the Cabaret, Kiss and Tell which debuted in Soho, London to sold out performances.

Yesse is the founder and director of Champagne Serenade.

Eloise Oxer

Songbird and storyteller Eloise Oxer first began her training, in classical voice and musical theatre at the WA Academy of Performing Arts. After graduating from NIDA in 2001 she debuted in the Sydney Theatre Company’s production of The Glass Menagerie, to critical acclaim and continues to feature on the Australian stage and screen. She has since had the pleasure of both working and workshopping with the STC, the MTC and numerous independent companies across the country. Eloise; presently narrating for Bolinda audiobooks, is a voice artist in every sense of the word. Her 2 years of intensive voice training at WAAPA opened many musical doors and has seen her headline jazz, cabaret and singer/songwriter performances. Screen credits include the Australian feature Hunt Angels, T.V’s All Saints, Offspring and the ABC series The Cut and My Place.

Luisa Hastings Edge


Luisa Hastings Edge graduated from the VCA in 2001 after having completed a Bachelor or Arts in Theatre/ Film at UNSW. Recently she performed Baal at the Sydney Theatre Company and The Malthouse Theatre directed by Simon Stone as well as Howard Barkers Judith presented by Tamarama Rock Surfers directed by Cathy Hunt. Her Bell Shakespeare credits include main stage productions of Hamlet and As You like It and Marion Potts’ National tour of Taming Of The Shrew. Recently in Melbourne she appeared in Adena Jacobs’ production of Sophocles and Elektra (translated by Anne Carson) and Gary Abrahams’ Something Natural But Very Childish at La Mama Theatre, both of which received Green Room awards and nominations. Other theatre credits in Sydney include Mark Ravenhill’s Handbag at The Seymour Centre, Naked Theatre Co. One Thumb Out at The Old Fitz, and Jon Fosse!s Death Variations for B Sharp, downstairs Belvoir. She co- devised and performed A Jacques Brel Cabaret at Bar Me and Weill Women: A Kurt Weill Cabaret which performed at The Old Fitz, Bondi Pavillion and toured to Chapel Off Chapel and won Best Cabaret in 2004 Melbourne Fringe Festival. In London she performed and co-produced Gary Abrahams’ Something Natural But Very Childish at The Hen and Chickens Theatre and performed in The Brighton Fringe Festival in Jodee Mundy’s Five Years Of Happiness. Her television credits include Home and Away, Neighbours, Headland, Always Greener, All Saints and the UK pilot Back Home.

Sharni Page

Sharni Page is a Musical Theatre graduate from the prestigious Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts.  Her diversity as a performer stretches from musical theatre touring in productions such as Cabaret, through film and television, appearing in shows like Offspring and Rush, to working as a voiceover artist for clients such as Holden, TAC and University of Southern Queensland.  Sharni’s ability to adapt to the many and varied entertainment needs of clients such as Crown, Mazda and Tourism Victoria is due to her singing and acting capabilities and her experience of over 10 years in corporate entertainment.

Carla Jane McCallum

 

Carla is a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (Bachelor of Arts, Music Theatre) and has continued her acting training, most recently completing the Summer Conservatory at Penny Templeton Studio in New York.

An experienced traveller, Carla spent a number of years sailing the high seas as a Guest Entertainer for Princess Cruises. Carla’s theatre credits include the Australian tour of Pirates of Penzance alongside John English and Simon Gallaher, Thoroughly Modern Millie for The Production Company, as well as many children’s shows across Australia and New Zealand.

On television, Carla appeared in the award winning series Satisfaction.

A career highlight to date, Carla was a backup vocalist for Michael Buble in his 2008 sellout ‘Call Me Irresponsible’ Melbourne Concerts.

In 2009 Carla received the Best Actress award at the Sydney Short & Sweet Festival for her performance in the short play WTF?! which also marked her debut as a writer.
